Hello friends,
You are having a fine summer I trust. I am getting a little better organized and oriented each week I am here in your midst. I have already had several meetings with pastors and some committees but we need to get together as the pastors of the Stillwater District and cover a few things. I hope you and your family can join me on Thursday, August 5th at 6:00 pm for a great United Methodist potluck!
Here is what I have in mind: I will have the district provide the meat and you all can bring sides and desserts. Cushing FUMC will host and provide the plates, napkins, utensils, cups and drinks. We will eat, have some time to get acquainted and then have a very brief meeting for me to share with you the info that will help you prepare for our work together.
I chose Cushing as the geographic center of the district plus there is a waterpark there if families would like to come earlier in the day and enjoy that before the meeting. Dress will be summer casual (shorts are acceptable at this one) for the meeting.
